Request an Absentee Ballot

If you are unable to vote in person on Election Day, there are two convenient ways to cast your ballot in the Southampton Village Election.

Instructions

Election Day is Friday, June 19.

Under New York Village Election law:

  • Mailed absentee ballot applications must be received by the Village Clerk no later than 7 days before the election

  • In-person absentee ballot applications may be submitted up until the day before the election

Option 1: Apply for an Absentee Ballot in Advance

Voters may complete an absentee ballot application and submit it to Southampton Village Hall.

Application Deadlines

  • By Mail: Applications must be received by Friday, June 12

  • In Person: Applications may be submitted through Thursday, June 18

Once your application is approved, you will receive your absentee ballot.

Option 2: Vote Early at Village Hall

Voters may also complete the absentee voting process in one visit at Village Hall.

How It Works

  1. Visit Southampton Village Hall

  2. Request and complete an absentee ballot application

  3. Receive your ballot immediately

  4. Fill out and submit your ballot on-site

Once submitted, your vote is officially cast.

Village Hall will be open:

  • Saturday, June 7 — 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

  • Saturday, June 14 — 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Absentee Ballot Deadlines

  • Mail Application Deadline: Friday, June 12

  • In-Person Application Deadline: Thursday, June 18
